Located not very far from the Split downtown, Split Airport is locally known as Resnik Airport. The airport is the 3rd largest in Croatia followed by the cities of Dubrovnik and Zagreb. On the other side of the airport is Kaštela Bay and adjacent to this is the town of Trogir. A hub airport for Croatia Airlines, it handled 1,300,381 passengers in 2011. It offers flights to European cities including Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Rome, Paris and London.
